Kitchen - it's looking better all the time

View of the kitchen from the Great Room

View of the kitchen from the eating nook...this is the wall that was measured incorrectly and you can see the "missing" cabinets next to and above the dishwasher.

Tiling Adventure

Mike and I decided after getting a couple of labor bids for tile that we could probably pull a good chunk of this project off ourselves and leave the complex stuff to the pro's.

Here is a picture of the master shower - we let the pro's handle installation

Here is a picture of the guest bathroom and the lovely tiling expertise of Sara, Angela and Amanda

The Kitchen is Here!

Question: How does one make cabinets designed for 150 inches fit in a space that is actually 137.5 inches?
Answer: You don't...you get to order new cabinets and wait for them to arrive!

Our latest challenge in the Foxall Home Re-Build adventure has been a kitchen design that doesn't actually fit into the space we have. I (Amanda) was pretty bummed...but after a couple of phone calls and a really long meeting at Lowes everything has been resolved (fingers crossed!) and we hope to have the new (smaller) cabinets the first week of May.

P.S. The wall shown was measured correctly, so all cabinets for this wall fit...the wall to the right (not shown) is the one we had to re-design.

HoneyBucket Casualty

During a recent (and STRONG) windstorm our Honey Bucket tipped over.

Not a pretty sight - on the outside or the inside...

Great way to get a new Honey Bucket delivered:)

Drywall...it's a beautiful thing!

And then there was LIGHT!

Plumbing and HVAC...who knew this could be exciting?!?
